With 11 albums to date, 2 decades of touring across Australia, Canada, USA, Europe, New Zealand and into Asia, Ganga is a true international World Music superstar!
Come find out why Peter Gabriel says: "I love the mix of his ancient and primitive instrument with a wide range of great dance grooves. Ganga is really taking the didjeridu to places it has never been before and developing a unique style of music.”
Ganga Giri mixes red natural elements with fat tribal beats and dirty funky bass lines to create a unique tribal-technological deep earth dance experience. Explosive and pulsating, at times ambient and flowing, the music is a pumping percussive multi-layered experience of complex grooves and raw, deep natural sound. A positive celebration.
Adding to this amazing Global Fusion music blast will be sets by 3 Just Dance co-resident DJs! DJ Handford will first warm up the floor, followed by DJ Abheeru
who will bring the vibe to a frenzy before Ganga Giri and DJ Raghunath Khe will come on boards after the band to extract your every last dance moves! Also part of those 3 DJ sets will be Christain Borrego adding his eclectic live percussions. Laura Ahava Bloomberg will open the evening with some sacred flute playing and then be our MC. All this music be accompanied by digital visualizations crafted live by our fabulous resident VJ Kashub.
This event will certainly sell out!

GANGA GIRI
Ganga was born in Port Fairy, Australia. His musical journey began as a child when he started playing kit drums at age 8. Inspired by a dream, he followed his calling and began to play didjeridu the very next day. It has been a natural progression for Ganga to create a new contemporary sound by mixing funky rhythms through the didj - especially since the sound he was after wasn't available on the market.
Influenced by many varied genres, including East Indian Tabla and African percussion, he has married indigenous Australian and world music with fat funky dance beats, and has found an appreciative audience across the globe.
Ganga Giri has gained the respect of Aboriginal didgeridu (yidaki) players for his unique approach to didgeridu playing. Deeply inspired by the sacredness of Australia's land and how that feeling can be expressed through the didjeridu, he has become an ambassador for his country, offering his world-wide audience a reflection of contemporary multicultural Australia.
