Rinôçérôse - Music Kills Me French psychologists, husband and wife, turned rock band that plays dance music who took their band name from the painting of one of their patients! We are not in prefab land here. Rinôçérôse's latest album Music Kills Me comes off as a spontaneous, mostly instrumental jam session that features plenty of electric guitars and funky beats. The album consists mainly of quality music that combines deep beats and bass rifts, all mixed in with percussion to create an energizing mix of House, Jazz and Latin rhythms. The disc is filled with deep and subtle grooves, which tracks like "It's Time to Go Now," "Lost Love," and "No, We're Not Experienced" memorably use to their advantage. A couple of tracks lack the typical energy of the band but as transition tracks, they do a decent job making the album flow. Kudos to psychologists-turned-mixologists who have created a vibrant sound that can be best as described as innovative, energetic as well as refreshing.
