Afro Celt Sound System - Further in Time

In its third outing, the multi-cultural sonic collective known as the Afro-Celt Sound System continues to flex its eclectic musical muscles. And when it comes to the ACSS sound, the operative word continues to be "big". Put together folksy drums and strings from the around the world, windswept bagpipe and fiddle runs, Punjabi and Arabic vocal styling, add massive beats and you are in for ceaseless thrills. Release 3 also includes more pop-oriented moments with some high-profile guest vocalists such as Peter Gabriel and Robert Plant. While still a very professional world beat album, the combination of star-powered tracks and the lack of a fresher sound are making this ACSS outing one of there least attractive.
